Christina: Xavier, oh my God…is this a castle? A real castle!
Xavier: it’s one of Montichiari symbols. The count Gaetano Bonoris had it built at the end of the 19th century , he wanted it exactly on the ancient medieval Rock.
Christina: it’s a pure beauty of neo-gothic architecture and it overlooks the whole town… did Bonoris make it his private residence?
Xavier: exactly! He wanted it surrounded by a magnificent and huge park and not only he took extreme care of its appearance but took care of each detail, inside and outside, in terms of materials, decorations, and inside frescoes.
Christina: the pieces of furniture are spectacular! This place is a continuous discovery…
Xavier: Exactly! One of these was the stunning discovery of the count’s secret safe. A treasure needs to be hidden in a castle!
Christina. Does the Castle belong to the City Hall now, doesn’t it?
Xavier: Definitely yes, since 1995. Now the goal is to make it an attraction for events and tourists from all over the world.
