Christina: and now? Are you taking me to the library?

Xavier: Not really. This building of neoclassical style is the Treccani Library, it is true indeed, but I want you to see the Pasinetti Art Gallery.

Christina: Art! Montichiari owns a priceless treasure.

Xavier: here we can appreciate more than one hundred paintings by Antonio Pasinetti, an artist born in Montichiari who lived and worked in Milan at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. He did stunning portraits and became friend with Pellizza di Volpedo and Arturo Tosi.

Christina: The exhibit tells us an extraordinary Italian story …from the bourgeoisie in Milan at the Belle Epoque time to the social painting. Such beautifully colored landscapes were painted en plain air, outdoor.

Xavier: let’s go to the second floor, I want to show you some sketches. We shall appreciate the story of the Pasinetti Family among these papers and paintings.
